Television Recycle

how much money can I get for recycling an old tv in houston?

I need to know how much I would get for recycling an old or broken television. In the Houston texas area. If I can, where can I go to recycle.

I don’t know of any place that will pay you to recycle your broken television. Best Buy stores will take Flat Panel and LCD TVs, and tube TVs up to 32″. Most stores charge $10 to accept The Television, but will give you a $10 Best Buy gift card. If you buy a new television and have it delivered by Best Buy, they will take away the old one for free. Check with your local Best Buy store for more information.

If the television is still in working condition, you may be able to donate it to Goodwill or Salvation Army. Call your nearest store or donation center to see if they will take your television.

You might also list it on Freecycle.org to see if someone wants it.

One other possibility–many years ago I sold a television that was working but in need of repair to a television repair store. They fixed it and sold it to someone else. If there is a repair store near you, you might try that.
